I am from Jonesboro, AR and have been creating stained glass for seventeen years. I first began making lamps, and selling them thru the local stained glass shop. Then I opened a little stained glass shop in the downtown area of Jonesboro in October of 2000. My support comes from stained glass commissions and sales, fused glass, and lampworking, along with designing and creating beautiful jewelry.
My love of lampworking came when I learned that I could bend a thin glass stringer in a candle flame. I never imagined that the flame was hot enough. Then I learned of the hot head torch that screwed onto a small bottle of propane. I began making beads, but slowly. I then invested in a oxy/propane torch, and then I was hooked, and after years of practice, I have gotten to be a good bead maker.
What seems to be an ongoing study of glass has been both challenging and en joyable .
